Le Samouraï

Le Samouraï (Jean-Pierre Melville - 1967). Stylish as Alphaville, silly as a Dick Tracy comic strip, mesmerising as a Rothco painting, evocative as a Hölderlin poem. It's incredible how films sometimes keep you glued to them and you are not sure why. I've never been too fond of Alain Delon. This is the exception. So yes, I wouldn't say you HAVE to watch this film but you are missing out if you don't.
