Happy 2022

I hadn’t read any John Constantine comics since it came out in Spain back in the early-mid 90s (except for a couple of great stories “recently” drawn by Simon Bisley).

I liked those comics that were coming out of DC at the time were there were no heroes and, Constantine, was particularly despicable. No friend of his survives for long in his adventures. It really felt like something very new and exciting was happening.

So this last week I buried myself into those first stories again written by Jamie Delano and drawn by John Ridway: a delight. The stories still work as they did when they first came out… I would even say they are more relevant today.

In any case, that’s my recommendation to you for the new 2022. Get some of these comics. See how things could be much worse than they are now, you could be a friend of John Constantine and he might be asking you for a favour.

Happy new year everyone!
